The second quarter of 2024 has been an active season for personal finance apps on the iOS platform in the US. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a clear view of how the top budgeting and planning applications have been performing during this period.

Tricount - Split group bills observed a steady trend in weekly active users, starting the quarter with 3.8M and peaking at 4.1M by the end of June. Downloads for the app saw a notable increase from 1.7M in early April to 2.3M in late June. Revenue, however, showed a declining pattern, beginning at $71K and falling to $6K weekly by the quarter's close.

Splitwise presented a more variable revenue stream, with a peak of $541K in late April, and closing the quarter at $418K. The app's downloads reached a high of 1.7M in early May, while weekly active users fluctuated, ending the quarter slightly down at 5.4M from a peak of 5.5M in late May.

Splid – Split group bills showed a strong uptick in revenue, starting at $56K and reaching a high of $134K towards the end of May. Downloads saw growth from 694K to 1M in mid-June, and weekly active users increased consistently, ending the quarter at 4.6M.

MoneyStats - Budget Planner experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a notable spike to $156K in late April, followed by a downturn and a rebound to $108K at the quarter's close. Downloads showed an irregular pattern, with a peak of 191K in late May. Weekly active users presented a declining trend from 937K at the start of April to 784K by the end of June.

Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge, despite modest revenues ranging from $27K to $39K, saw a significant increase in weekly active users from 1.7M to 1.9M in late April. Downloads peaked at 147K in the same month but ended the quarter at a lower 81K.
